RF microwave company looking for a Quality Assurance Manager. Responsible for ensuring compliance with
ISO 9001:2000 quality management system requirements. This candidate would need to blend technical
skills, diplomacy and leadership in order to succeed as the QA Manager. Should be able to bring QA "best
practices" to the QA department. Must have the type of personal skills that would allow candidate to quickly
gain an understanding of the organization, build positive relationships, and define processes that should be
put in place.
Establishes, operates, maintains and improves the quality management system. Assures quality is
integrated into all aspects of operations. Responsible for publication and maintenance of the quality
management system Quality Manual. Collects and analyzes objective quality evidence and produces
necessary reports to demonstrate system goals and continuous improvement. Provides oversight of quality
management system operations and maintains and operates the Internal Quality Audit Program. Manages
correspondence with suppliers/vendors for all quality assurance issues or concerns. Ensures personnel are
properly and regularly trained in process control techniques and inspections. As necessary, conducts quality
control checks, quality control inspections and final product inspections. Acts as the Management
Representative for all ISO 9001:2000 issues.
Position Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science or equivalent RF Microwave industry work experience.
• Knowledgeable in industry drawing standards and Military Specifications
• Experience assessing customer specifications, statements of work; etc.
• working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers;
• defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff;
• setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures;
• identifying relevant quality-related training needs and delivering training;
• collating and analyzing performance data and charts against defined parameters;
• ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product
modifications are investigated if necessary;
• supervising technical staff in carrying out tests and checks;
• writing technical and management systems reports;
• liaising with customers' auditors and ensuring the execution of corrective action and compliance with
customers' specifications ;
• establishing standards of service for customers
